1、 Product Overview


Due to the demand for higher stability of the power grid, some power grids have higher requirements for the excitation system of small capacity units in the system. Multi objective control requires more efficient computational performance of the excitation regulator; Fast control requires more real-time and accurate control performance of the excitation regulator. In order to meet the needs of users, our company has adopted a new design concept and the latest technology to develop the high-performance EC-5000 excitation regulator. The EC-5000 excitation regulator adopts as few control boards as possible, maintenance free, high-performance control, complete software functions, perfect protection limits, CAN fieldbus technology, and powerful communication performance. By adopting 32-bit DSP technology, the computing power for multi-objective control is greatly enhanced, the switching control logic is more precise and reliable, the sampling process is faster and more accurate, the digital real-time trigger pulse refresh rate is higher, the graphical human-machine interface operation is more convenient and fast, and the overall performance is greatly improved. The EC-5000 excitation regulator uses the same hardware and signal interface to meet the requirements of synchronous generators and motors. The corresponding operating program is issued to the excitation regulator according to customer needs without the need to change other hardware. 1. Analog measurement range and accuracy

The analog measurement is a 128 point high-speed AC direct sampling measurement per cycle (every 20 milliseconds), with an A/D conversion resolution of 2-12.

· Excitation current measurement0 to not less than 2.0 times the rated excitation current, with an accuracy of not less than ± 0.5%;

· Excitation voltage measurement:0 to not less than 1.8 times the rated excitation voltage, with an accuracy of not less than ± 5%;

· Measurement of stator current of exciter:0 to not less than 1.8 times the rated current, with an accuracy of not less than ± 1%;

· Measurement of stator voltage of exciter0 to not less than 500V, with an accuracy of not less than ± 2.5%;

· Excitation PT measurement:Taken from the excitation PT secondary side three-phase line voltage, 0-140V, with an accuracy of not less than ± 0.5%;

· Instrument PT measurement: Taken from the three-phase line voltage of the PT secondary side of the instrument, 0-140V, with an accuracy of not less than ± 0.5%;

· Stator current measurement:Taken from the A and C phase currents of the CT secondary side, with an accuracy of not less than ± 1%; When selecting 5A, the measurement range is 0-10A, and when selecting 1A, the measurement range is 0-2A.

· Grid frequency measurement:37Hz to 85Hz, with an accuracy of not less than ± 0.01Hz;

· power factor measurement:-0~-0.5~1.0~+0.5~+0, with an accuracy of not less than ± 2%;

· Synchronous signal measurement:AC50V ~ 500V, Accuracy not less than ± 1%;

· 5V signal input range: 0-5V, with an accuracy of not less than ± 0.5%;

6、Performance indicators for excitation current regulation

· The range and rate of adjustment for the given value can be adjusted according to user habits;

· When the fluctuation of the excitation power supply is not greater than ± 20%, the fluctuation of the excitation current output is not greater than ± 0.5%;

· When the DC resistance fluctuation of the excitation winding is not greater than 10%, the output fluctuation of the excitation current is not greater than ± 0.5%;


7、Performance indicators for terminal voltage regulation

· The range and rate of adjustment for the given value can be adjusted according to user habits.

· Static voltage difference rate at the machine end (reactive current adjustment exit): ≤± 0.5%;

· Reactive current adjustment range: ± 20%, stepless setting;

· When the frequency of no-load operation changes by 1%, the rate of change in terminal voltage is not less than ± 0.2%;

· Under no-load rated voltage, when given a step of ± 10%, the overshoot of the terminal voltage shall not exceed 50% of the step, the oscillation frequency shall not exceed 3 times, and the adjustment time shall not exceed 10 seconds;

· When boosting from zero, the overshoot of the terminal voltage shall not exceed 15% of the rated value, the oscillation frequency shall not exceed 3 times, and the adjustment time shall not exceed 10 seconds;


8、Performance indicators for power factor regulation

· The range and rate of adjustment for the given value can be adjusted according to user habits;

· Within the upper and lower reactive power limits of power factor regulation, under rated power factor conditions, when the active power fluctuates by ± 50% of the rated value, the power factor fluctuation shall not exceed ± 0.5%;


9、Performance indicators for reactive power regulation

· The range and rate of adjustment for the given value can be adjusted according to user habits;

· Under rated reactive power conditions, when the active power fluctuates by ± 50% of the rated value, or when the stator voltage fluctuates by ± 10%, the reactive power fluctuation shall not exceed ± 0.5%;


10、Power System Stabilizer (PSS)

· Effective frequency range: 0.1Hz~3Hz;

· Output noise: less than 2% of the output limit amplitude;

· Automatic switching (adjustable);

· Manual switching (without disturbance);

· Output limit (adjustable);

· There are PSS output signal analog measurement ports and PSS phase point analog signal input ports.
